Our Student Life and Community Experience Team has great opportunities to help incoming students feel ready to start their journey as a Brock Badger.

They offer something called the First Year Experience Program!

Incoming Brock students can watch “How-To Videos” to help answer any questions you may have!

Then, Baby Badgers, you NEED to register for Smart Start.

Your Smart Start Visit starts off your journey as a Brock Badger! You will:

  • Register for your courses or finalize your class timetable with Academic Advisors.
  • Meet other first-year students helping you build your Brock support system before September.
  • Receive information about financing your education by learning about financial aid options available at Brock.
  • Tour our beautiful campus by visiting the numerous campus hotspots, including our residences.
  • Learn about academic success options by participating in seminars outlining ways to succeed in post-secondary education.
  • Familiarize yourself with the Brock community by learning tips and tricks from current Brock students about making a smooth transition to university life.
  • Take your photo for your Brock Card (So make sure you Baby Badgers are looking your best)

You can also register for LEAP. The LEAP program at Brock provides an opportunity to meet other students, learn valuable skills, experience a night in residence, volunteer in the local community, and explore Brock’s campus. Led by experienced campus student leaders, LEAP is a great way to make friends and connections both on campus and in the Niagara region.

Or you can register for Brock BaseCamp. BaseCamp is a great opportunity if you love the outdoors because it offers rock climbing, canoeing and backpacking trips for incoming students in August.

Then when you come to school in September, you will have Orientation Week! You will become more familiar with Brock’s campus and meet more Baby Badgers just like you. Brock University’s Student Union will post a schedule of events closer to the start of school.

But it doesn’t end there!! Student Life is always there for students to run events, provide you with connections or simply if you have any questions. The first six weeks of both the fall and winter semesters will offer BLAST Off programming focused on delivering pertinent information when it’s immediately relevant to you as a Brock Badger 🙂
