BrockU: Memories Never Alone in the Moonlight #2

Hey Badgers,

So just to refresh you memories, I have started a blog series of my four greatest Brock memories, one for each year. Feel free to check out my first year memory by clicking my name.

Again to just pick one memory is hard, but for my second year, I would have to say one of my favorite memories has to be meeting some amazing friends in one of my classes. I must first give you some background. In my second year, I decided to broaden my horizons in the Drama Department (which I am now majoring in), this allowed me to take some really amazing courses one of them being Drama in Education. In this class we worked on teaching any subject by using Drama techniques, I highly recommend this course for Concurrent Education students, Drama students or anyone else interested in doing some type of teaching in their future careers.

Anyhow, in this class I was lucky enough to meet some amazingly talented people and make some amazing friends who I still have many classes with today! These four girls have been with me through thick and thin ever since, and are apart of many of my memories since.

This is something I think is really important; coming into a new town, new school, new environment, you are bound to feel a little anxious when it comes to meeting new people. But try and remind yourself that everyone is in the same position as you, and all it takes in a friendly smile and sweet hello to start a great friendship!

Until next time!

About Michelle

Hey Badgers, my name is Michelle and I am going into my forth year here at Brock University studying Drama in Education! I am hoping to someday be a teacher, or to work closely in schools with intellectually challenged individuals! Brock University has so much to offer, both educationally and socially. I for example, am a part of the BrockU Best Buddies chapter where you are matched with an intellectually challenged individual and spark a friendship allowing them to feel included, and give them numerous leadership and social opportunities! I look forward to writing weekly blogs for you and will hopefully make some of you laugh with my silly stories, all the while giving you a better understanding of BrockU life!
