Brock University: Pets in Residence

Hey Future Badgers,

So during my tours I have been asked quite a few questions about pets. Therefore this post will be all about pets in Brock University Residences. Pets are not allowed in residence except for non-dangerous fish in aquariums no larger than 5 gallons. If you choose to have a fish tank in your residence area, you are responsible for ensuring its maintenance. (Also service animals are permitted in residence).

The fun part about having fish in residence is picking out the little guy and bringing him home. I just got a fish this year and his name is Stache. He is a gold fish with a dark orange line above his lips. Not as dramatic as the picture but it is how we named him. J Stache shares a tank with my roommate’s fish. Her fish used to be named Cotton but when we all moved in together his name was officially changed to Fluffy.

Fish can be a great addition to your residence family. I definitely recommend all future students consider this opportunity when you arrive at Brock.

See ya later Badgers,

About Dustine

Hey Everyone! My name is Dustine and I am in my fourth year of the Business Administration program. However, I will be pursuing my love for teaching elementary school. Here at Brock I have lived in both styles of residence buildings and off campus as well. I have participated in many residence activities such as Residence Action Council and Residence Life Staff. I am also a very active member of Brock Dance here on campus. I come from a small town called Tavistock, Ontario. We only have one main intersection. I understand how uneasy coming to an unknown place can be. All I can say is that it was well worth it and one of the best experiences I have ever had. I look forward to meeting many of you on our amazing tours and preview days. If you have any questions you can comment on my blogs.
