Hey future Badgers!
I thought I would take this opportunity to talk to you about an amazing movement that has changed Brock this year! As of this semester, Brock has become Canada’s sixth Fair Trade Campus that’s designated by Fair Trade Canada.
The Brock Fair Trade club was established and designed to raise awareness about the different Fair Trade options in and around campus, however, now thanks to their hard work Brock has joined the Fair Trade movement, and may I just say my coffee has never tasted so good! At the General Brock Store, our Brock convenience store right on campus, students can get every kind of their favourite coffee flavours and feel good about where it’s coming from. Known as the “Badger Brew” students can experience a great coffee and feel good about it! And what makes it even better, is that your cup of coffee is the same price as any other competitor. Tea, coffee and chocolate bars are all available for Brock students, and I have a feeling that it’s only the beginning. Brock students have embraced this movement as Brock students and administration have teamed up to create a more environmentally friendly campus.
