Hey Future Badgers!

I’m sure many of you know that last Friday November 29th was Black Friday. Even though it is usually an American tradition, Canadians have picked up on the tradition in the past few years. This meant that there were some awesome deals in stores, perfect timing to get my Christmas shopping done!

A few weeks ago, the new Target opened at the Pen Centre in St. Catharines. The Pen Centre is considered Niagara’s Largest Shopping Destination and is only a 10 minute bus ride away from the Brock Campus. The Pen Centre is really a one stop shop for students as it has a grocery store, movie theatre, many restaurtants and tonnes of stores to meet all your everyday needs. Target line up

The line to get into Target at 7 am!

SO, back to Black Friday sales. Target was set to open at 7 am on Friday morning so my roommate and I had a plan to wake up super early and make it there in time to get our hands on some awesome door crashers. Although there was already a huge line up when we arrived just before 7, we were able to get some awesome deals that day! Needless to say, I’m a pretty broke student now that I spent money on Black Friday. But hey, at least I got all my Christmas shopping done!

Shopping shopping shopping!

Shopping shopping shopping 😀

Now you tell me this isn’t the sign of a successful shopping trip!

Keep up the hard work Baby Badgers, winter holidays are just around the corner! 😀

About Karen

Hey there Future Badgers! My name is Karen and I’m in my 4th year here at Brock University. I am in the Concurrent Education program with a teachable and minor in Human Geography. I had spent my first two years at Brock living in Decew Residence both as a student and a Living Learning Community (LLC) Peer Mentor. I’ve lived in my hometown of Toronto, ON my whole life until I started my amazing journey at Brock. As much as I miss the busy city life of Toronto, I have definitely fallen deeply in love with the small town, community feel that Brock offers. If you have any questions, feel free to comment on my blog. I hope to see some of you here for a tour of our lovely campus this Fall or Spring! Take care!
