Hey Future Badgers,
Halloween is one of my favourite times of the year. (It could be because my birthday is the day before!) But I also love it because you get to see all the children dress up, people getting scared and you get to be whoever you want to be. This time my blog will show you many of the different options you have when you come to Brock University for Halloween.
Isaacs (On-Campus Entertainment Centre)
Each year Isaacs holds a Halloween event. They do both all ages and 19+ events that lets everyone show their Halloween spirit. There are many prizes for Halloween costume contests, so it can be pretty interesting to see what people come up with.
Charity Haunted Houses – Frightmare House
This year there is a charity haunted house happening downtown St. Catharines at 175 King Street. The haunted house is open on both October 30th and 31st this year from 7-11pm. The event is now two years old and is expected to continue in the future. If you do decide that this is the type of event for you then dress up and you will get CANDY! Entry into the house is a non-perishable canned good or monetary donation (pay what you can). All donations will go to St. Catharines Food Bank. Also keep in mind there are some warnings with the haunted house option.
Warning: Frightmare house contains fog, strobe lights, loud noises, mature content, moving/uneven floors and is not suitable for those with heart conditions, epilepsy, those who are pregnant or under the age of 16.
Wonderland’s Halloween Haunt
Many of our on Campus clubs venture to Wonderland for the Halloween Haunt event that they put on. I highly recommend that you attend with your friends in residence when you come to Brock. It is a very fun even that includes many different haunted houses and all the rides. You can find out more information at the link posted below. https://www.canadaswonderland.com/haunt
Handing out Candy
Mark 42 Pepper Potts
This is the route my house goes. If you decide to live off campus during your time at Brock you will have the opportunity to interact with the community. Last year we decorated our garage Alice in Wonderland themed and this year we are being Superheroes and Villains. I am being Pepper Potts Mark 42. (This is not me in the costume). My friends are: Batman, Captain America, Poison Ivey and Spiderman. The children really enjoy interacting with our themes and I am sure that this year will be a blast.
Whatever option you choose for Halloween at Brock I am sure it will be awesome! Hope to see you rocking your costumes in 2014!
