Girls Night Out At Lina Linguini’s

This past weekend three of my favourite people in the world came to visit me — my three best friends from back home. Although we all live in different cities now, some of us with jobs, some still in school, we still make a serious effort to get together as frequently as possible.

It was my turn to play hostess this time around, and I wanted to show my girlfriends a good time in St. Catharines. Although we talk every single day via telephone or iMessage, we don’t get to see each other face to face very often. In fact, we only manage to see each other about once a month, so we wanted to spend the majority of our time together talking and catching up, not going to a pub or the movies or anywhere distracting.

So, I decided to take my girlfriends out for a nice dinner. After a 15 minute debate about what kind of food we felt like eating, we finally decided on going to Lina Linguini’s for Italian. I’ve been to this restaurant a few times since my first year at Brock, and I have never been disappointed. Whenever my friends or family come to visit, it’s my go-to place for quality food and a pleasant atmosphere that everyone is guaranteed to enjoy.

This visit was no exception. I ordered the Roasted Walnut Gnocchi, which consists of gnocchi pasta with chicken, sundried tomatoes, mushrooms, garlic, olive oil, spicy chilies, pesto & walnuts topped with crumbled blue cheese. Personally, I substituted the blue cheese for goat cheese, and it was DE-LISH. Since pasta dishes also come with fresh bread and salad to start, I also had enough of my meal for left-overs the next day. I finished off with a huge piece of Skor Cheesecake — a little taste of heaven.

My delicious left-overs -- just as good the next day!

Now that I have your mouth watering, I’ll advise you to visit the Lina Linguini’s website (click HERE) for more information on their menu and location. For all you future Badgers, I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking to impress your friends and family who come to visit, or just for a treat any night of the week!
