Brock University: Career Services

Hey everyone! So if you’re like me, you know what it’s like to have to search

for a job, whether it’s just for the summer or for the school year, and one question that gets asked a lot is whether or not there are a lot of jobs here on campus, and the answer is YES! There are tons of jobs on campus from working as a research assistant, to working as a tour guide (like me!).

Here at Brock we have the Career Resource Centre located in our library, which is a great place to go if you’re looking for somewhere to work on/off campus, volunteer, or even help you decide what you want to do after you’re done your degree. It’s also a great place to go if you’re looking for some help with making a resumé or cover letter, and also offers many workshops throughout the year.

The Brock website also has a page for Career Services where you can access the online job posting board they have as well. Looking for a job and starting university at the same time can be a bit stressful, so it’s nice to know that Brock offers a ton of resources when it comes to finding employment:) Hope you all have a great week!

About Katelyn

Hey everyone! My name’s Katelyn and I’m in my fourth year of the concurrent education program here at Brock at the Junior/Intermediate level with a teachable in French. I have always had a passion for working with children, so I knew that the Con Ed program here at Brock was the perfect fit for me! After I finish my five years here, I hope to work as a French teacher in an elementary school. I also hope to have the opportunity to teach in another country, since I love to travel and experience new places and cultures. I grew up in Kitchener, Ontario, but have been fortunate enough to call St. Catharines my home for the past three years and I look forward to what sorts of adventures I will get up to during my last year of undergraduate studies here. This is also my third year as a Campus Experience Coordinator, so hopefully I can answer any questions you may have about being a university student!
