Hello!
I hope all is well with you all, and that your applications have happily arrived at Brock University!
This week I am writing about a pretty typical student experience, but when you do it with amazing friends it too becomes extraordinary! Lunch and studying is today’s topic!
Last week, my good friend and fellow tour guide, Krissa (to visit Krissa’s blog, click here!) and I got together at her house to study and make lunch together. We, of course, made pasta, every university student’s favourite meal! Despite its popularity though, eating pasta too often can have growing effects on your waistline…if you know what I mean!
However, Krissa had some great ways to make it a little bit more healthy! Using vegetables she already had in her house, we added broccoli, bell peppers and shredded carrots into the mix! And, I’ve heard from some friends that spinach, onions and even shredded chicken are all really good in pasta as well! Then with more things from her house and a little help from Pinterest, we made the most delicious garlic bread known to humans! (see picture below and commence drooling!) Then, to finish it off, we had some homemade chocolate chip cookies and milk! (Fact: no matter how old you get or what you do in life, you will never outgrow cookies and milk. It just won’t happen!)
Throw a little bit of academic productivity in there, and needless to say it was an awesome afternoon! Thank you for lunch Krissa, let’s do it again soon!
Here is a picture of our wonderful lunch!
Happy pasta eating (and eating in general) friends! 🙂
