Brock University: Great Meals & Great Prices!

So everyone knows that going out for dinner is hard (and sometimes hard to justify) when you’re on a student budget, but as long as you don’t do it often it’s a nice way to treat yourself once in a while!

St Catharines and Niagara Falls are both full of places to get great food, at really great prices! My friends and I, I must admit, are food fanatics and this year we’ve started checking out different places close to Brock to eat at!

A couple of weeks ago we went to the Pizza Hut Buffet (about a 10 minute drive from the Brock U campus), and the food was actually so good! One of the benefits is that it’s actually a lunch buffet, and as we all know lunches are often much less expensive than dinners! They have everything from different kinds of pasta (cold and hot!), to breadsticks, to Cinnaparts (which are like mini-cinnamon buns!), on top of about five different pizzas at a time! For a full Pizza Hut menu and different locations, click here! The food was delicious, and it was a really good time for us to take a break from homework and catch up with each other!

Here is a picture of one (of our many) plates!

Another really great place to check out is Cora’s, which is a really great breakfast and lunch restaurant that is located right across the street from the Pen Centre Mall (about a 15 minute bus ride right from the Brock U campus!). Besides being delicious, Cora’s has great prices and the portion sizes are huge! My mom and I came here last week when she came to visit (she had the waffles, and I had the Zach Stack!). Click here for a Cora’s menu and locations!

Here is a picture of what my Mom and I ordered, so delicious!

Anyways, here are two great examples of awesome places to eat close to campus that I’ve found so far! I’ll keep you guys updated on my epic food quest. Happy eating y’all!!

About Kristie

Hey Everyone! My name is Kristie and I'm a 4th year Psychology student here at Brock. After I graduate, I plan to pursue a career in geriatrics (working with senior citizens)! In my spare time I love rollerblading, being with my friends, and volunteering! I'm part of a group called the Brock University Student Alumni Association (BUSAA), who aim to connect current students and alumni through networking, and volunteer opportunities! I've met a lot of amazing people in this group. It has helped me connect with other students who love volunteering just as much as I do!
