NOTL Clock Tower

Last Friday I spent a warm, wonderful summer evening in Niagara-on-the-Lake (NOTL). I had been to NOTL before, for a walk along the Niagara Parkway, and also for breakfast at the Little Red Rooster, but never before had I been to the city’s shopping district.

It’s an adorable area. There are plenty of shopping boutiques lined up and down Queen Street, which is also where the clock tower is located (shown above). I indulged in a waffle cone from one of the many delicious ice cream parlors, as well as a candy apple (which I was forced into, having never eaten a candy apple before. I wasn’t a huge fan – next time I’m going for caramel).

Not only were the shops fun to look at, but so were the people. With tourists from all over, the streets of NOTL were filled with different personalities, some coming out of a show at the Shaw theatre, while others came off of a moonlit “haunted walk.”

With NOTL being only 30 min. away from Brock, I’ll definitely be visiting again soon! My caramel apple awaits.
