Accessibility audit

The accessibility audit findings encompass publicly accessed areas in all facilities of our St. Catharines and Hamilton campuses.

Audit recommendations are based upon the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) — Barrier Free Design (1997), which exceed the minimum standard of the Ontario Building Code (Sec 3.8 Barrier Free) and offer a higher level of accessibility to persons with disabilities.

The audit recommendations provide a long-range accessibility-planning tool for the identification and removal of existing physical barriers in all academic and administrative areas.

The Brock University Accessibility Advisory Committee (BUAAC) assists with the prioritization of audit recommendations.
