Emma Columbia, May 30, 1882. Mem. Oakland sch. bd., Village of Hyde Park, 1888; upon annexation to Chicago became alderman 32d Ward, Chicago, 1893-96; temporary chmn. Rep. State Conv., 1894; chmn. Cook Co. Rep. convs., 1895, 1902; master in chancery, Superior Ct. of Cook Co., 1892-96; gen atty, South Park Bd., Chicago 1895; mem. 55th to 57th Congresses (1897-1903), 1st Ill. Dist., and 58th to 67th Congresses (1903-23), 2nd Dist. minority leader 62d to 65th Congresses. Home: Chicago, Ill. Died Nov 30, 1922.
