Membership of the Committee of American Physicians for Medical Preparedness (1916)

The Committee of American Physicians for Medical Preparedness was created at the Union League Club in Chicago on April 14, 1916. Frank F. Simpson, a Pittsburgh gynecological surgeon organized the group and led it's lobbying campaign in Washington. This self appointed group constituted the backbone of the General Medical Board, created by the Council of National Defense to assist its Advisory Commission in X of 1916. The members of the Committee's Executive  appear in bold. Members of the General Medical Board appear in red. Each member's service to the committees of the General Medical Board are in italic.
