John B. Lord.

Chicago, Jan 21. — John B. Lord, 84 years old, chairman of the board of the Ayer & Lord Railroad Tie Company, died today. He had been in business in Chicago since 1883. Mr. Lord was a member of the board of the Presbyterian Hospital, the Chicago Orphan Asylum, the Sunday Evening Club, and the central committee of the Y. M. C. A. He was president of the Jan and Washington Smith Home and a director of the Harris Trust and Savings Bank. Surviving are three daughters.
