POLICE SEIZE 47 MEN AND WOMEN IN 9 VICE RAIDS

Forty-seven arrests of men and women were made and nine hotels and rooming houses, including one at 5467 Dorchester avenue, maintained by Mrs. Louise Miller, were raided by vice squads of detectives over Saturday and yesterday.

Mrs. Miller was arrested as keeper and William Danlow as an inmate of a disorderly house. Mrs. Miller’s daughter, 7 years old, will be turned over to the Juvenile court. Four places were raided in the vicinity of Twenty-second street and Dearborn avenue, and a number of arrests were made in the street in that neighborhood.

Detectives of the Cottage Grove avenue station and from Second Deputy Funkhouser’s office vied in making arrests in the old Twenty-second street district. In a hotel at 73 Chicago avenue Albert Hendricks was taken as keeper, and Billie Mack, an actress, taken as an inmate.
