LAMBASTES THE WOMEN, TOO.

Mrs. W. I. Thomas, Wife of U. of C. Professor, Evens Scores — Wants Mothers More
Watchful.
After telling last week what back numbers men were, Mrs. W. I. Thomas, wife of the University of Chicago sociology professor, evened up scores yesterday by paying similar compliments to the women. She spoke before the University Equal Suffrage league in Cobb Hall.
"We need something like the Juvenile court to work among parents," said Mrs. Thomas, "Instead of putting all our time in reforming children we might force mothers to be more watchful of their young ones.
"Mothers stay at home when they ought to be out in the world learning of the temptation which beset children, and how these may be combated. Parents are to blame to a great extent for delinquency."
