Review of The Polish Peasant in Europe and America

L. L. Bernard

The reissue of Thomas’s The Polish Peasant in a two-volume edition is a fortunate event in the field of social psychology. This book remains the outstanding contribution to the case method of psycho-sociological analysis. Perhaps its reissue indicates a growing emphasis upon this phase of methodology. Certain it is that former students of Dr. Thomas have spread abroad in our universities and have begun to be decidedly productive in both their teaching and writing.
