Mathematics & Science faculty among those recognized at Brock Research Celebration
Published on February 26 2014
Congratulations again to Biological Sciences Professor Mike Bidochka, for receiving the 2013 Brock University Award for Distinguished Research and Creativity, and Chemistry Professor Tomas Hudlicky, for being elected a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. Both were recognized at yesterday’s Brock Research Celebration.
The Brock University Award for Distinguished Research and Creativity was created to recognize faculty whose distinguished research or creative activity demonstrates outstanding research achievements, contributions to the training of future researchers and consistency in scholarly or creative performance.
Election into the Royal Society of Canada represents the highest honour a scholar can achieve in the Arts, Humanities and Sciences. It is Canada’s top academic body and fellows are elected by their peers “in recognition of outstanding scholarly, scientific and artistic achievement.” The primary objective of the society is to promote learning and research in the arts, the humanities and the natural and social sciences.
