Career Services is currently accepting applications for a Think Tank Plus project with Enterprise Holdings.  

 
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Enterprise Holdings was founded in 1957 and headquartered in St. Louis.  Enterprise is an internationally recognized brand with the largest fleet of passenger vehicles in the world today.  Enterprise also operates a network of 7500 neighbourhood and airport rental locations in the United States, Canada, the U.K, Ireland and Germany.  Enterprise is owned by Enterprise Holdings, the privately held parent company of Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Alamo Rent A Car, and National Car Rental creating the world's largest car rental network.  As North America's largest car rental company, Enterprise is known for its exceptionally low rates, neighbourhood convenience and its outstanding service; including, picking up local customers at no extra cost.  Ranked #18 on the Forbes Top 500 private companies in America, Enterprise has branch offices located within 15 miles of 90% of the U.S. population.  Enterprise has ranked highest in customer satisfaction among airport rentals in nine out of the past 10 years, according to J.D. Power and Associates Rental Car satisfaction survey.
 
THINK TANK PLUS PROJECT
Enterprise is an industry leader and provides Management Trainees with an incredible opportunity for advancement and long-term career growth.  Although well-known in the US, Enterprise is interested in promoting and expanding their brand on Canadian campuses as a top career choice for students after graduation.  They are interested in having Brock students participate in a 'think tank' to give feedback and ideas on how to develop their Canadian recruitment strategy. 
 
BENEFITS TO STUDENTS:
Students who are actively involved on-campus and who are interested in working on a real-life business issue will be interested in participating in this project.  Student participants will:
  • Gain valuable experience helping to develop a successful corporate recruiting strategy. 
  • Learn more about Enterprise and network with staff
  • Enhance their resume by including current business case participation
 
WHAT IS INVOLVED IN PARTICIPATING IN THIS PROJECT?
15 students will be accepted to participate in this project. 
They will participate in two focus group sessions during the month of November 2011.
Each session will be 2 hours in length and will be led by Enterprise staff
 
APPLICATION PROCESS:
Students should submit a cover letter and resume to pdawson@brocku.ca
The cover letter should clearly identify the reasons for their interest in the project as well as their involvement on campus and in the community. 
Applicants must also include their class schedule with their application.
