Brock Mathematics Graduates shine at this year's Convocation!

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL GRADUATES!

Special congratulations to the following award recipients:

Val Andrei Fajardo, an MSc student in Mathematics and Statistics, was presented with the Governor General’s Gold Medal, awarded to the student who achieves the highest academic standing at the graduate level. Fajardo’s graduate research was in extreme value theory and he received an NSERC Alexander Graham Bell CGS scholarship for his work in this area. He is currently enrolled at the University of Waterloo pursuing a doctorate degree in Statistics.

Mathematics and Science Dean’s Medals were handed out to Nicholas Borich and Vincenzo Coia. Dean’s Medals are awarded to students with the highest standing in either a first Honours or pass degree. 

The John & Rosalyn Reed Book Prize is awarded to one male and one female student with the highest major average in Mathematics.  This year's recipients were Vincenzo Coia and Assuntina DelGobbo.
