Close Relationship Maintenance Research Funded by CRISS

Published on November 11 2013

Dr. Michael Maniaci (PSYC) has received a grant from the Council for Research in the Social Sciences (CRISS).  The grant will allow him to carry out research on a project that is titled, "Implicit Partner Evaluations and the Maintenance of Close Relationships".  According to him, "past research has found that implicit evaluations of romantic partners (e.g., attitudes that operate largely outside of conscious awareness) uniquely predict breakup and other relationship outcomes. This research project will examine potential mechanisms by which positive implicit evaluations may promote the maintenance of close relationships."  For details, feel free to contact Dr. Maniaci.
