Math & Science researchers score high on recent NSERC grant renewals

Brock University scored an 88 per cent success rate for established researchers renewing their grants in the latest round of National Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) funding when the 2013 competition results for its Discovery Grants, Discovery Accelerator Supplements, Alexander Graham Bell Canada Graduate Scholarships, NSERC Postgraduate Scholarships and Postdoctoral Fellowships were announced.
 
The awardees include:
 
Babak Farzad, Mathematics
Frank Fueten, Earth Sciences
Tomas Hudlicky, Chemistry
Fereidoon Razavi, Physics
Miriam Richards, Biological Sciences
Adonis Skandalis, Biological Sciences
Theocharis Stamatatos, Chemistry
Paul Zelisko, Chemistry
 
Brock’s graduate students also fared well and Math & Science awardees include:
 
Leslie Nash, Biotechnology
Michelle Przedborski, Physics
Yue Wu, Biotechnology
