BOOST Program (BOST 0N00)

Program Overview
The BOST 0N00 (Alternative to Suspension Program) is a non-credit course and runs on a pass/fail basis. The Registrar's Office will be contacting students who meet the criteria for participation in this program. Active participation, including completion of assignments and presentations, is part of the requirements. The cost of the program is $750 and is payable at the time of registration.

This program runs in D2 (September until December) and consists of two 90-minute classes per week. Classes are small, with approximately 30 students per section. Registration for the program is managed through your Student Self Serve.

Program Goals
The program is designed to enable students to:

  • Reflect on past academic experiences and build new strategies to help achieve goals
  • Examine motivation, strengths, and learning styles
  • Set and achieve realistic goals
  • Enhance time management, writing, presentation and study skills
  • Identify and address their individual development areas through consultations, referrals, and supplementary workshops

Program Requirements

  • Attendance at each class
  • Signed agreement regarding participation, attendance
  • Personal consultation with a Learning Skills Instructor
