Co-op Student of the Year
Regan Fitzgerald, MBA Co-op, the recipient of Brock’s “Co-op Student of the Year” award 2014.
It is with great pleasure that we award Regan Fitzgerald with the “Co-op Student of the Year” award for 2014. To be selected as Brock’s co-op student of the year, you must be an outstanding co-op employee, willing to go above and beyond at every opportunity. Additionally, you must excel in your academics and coursework. And finally, you must be a dedicated supporter and promoter of Brock’s Co-op programs. Regan has excelled in all three categories during her time in Co-op here at Brock.
As an MBA co-op student, Regan has spent the last 10 months working at Hydro One as the Quality Control Analyst in the Customer Experience Department. In this role, her portfolio focused on developing reports and monitoring the results of Hydro One’s customer satisfaction surveys. However, Regan has gone above and beyond what is typically expected of a Co-op Student. After her supervisor had to go on sick leave, Regan stepped in to take on a much more senior role in addition to her normal duties. She became the primary point of contact for third party market research vendors and produced reports that are vital to high level executives at Hydro One.
In addition to her impressive co-op job performance, Regan is also a Beta Gamma Sigma member, and was the first Goodman student to have received the Graduate Teaching Assistant Award from Brock’s Centre for Pedagogical Innovation. With a bright future ahead, Regan will be among the first students to enroll in Goodman’s new MBA specialization in Business Analytics. This will ensure that you will be seeing more of Regan on campus, as she continues her involvement with the Co-op Program Office and mentors our next generation of co-op students.
