New CPI director named

Jill Grose has been named director of the Centre for Pedagogical Innovation (CPI).

Grose takes over from Barry Joe, who served as director for three years.

Formerly the centre’s associate director, Grose brings more than 14 years of educational leadership to the position. As the associate director, she contributed to numerous initiatives, including the design and development of Brock University’s first graduate course in the theory and practice of university teaching, and the development of the basic and advanced TA certifications.

Grose also introduced a number of new teaching awards for sessional instructors, early career faculty, teaching in large classes,, and a graduate TA award.
