Come for a Coffee and Conversation - Event Announcement
The NCO is excited to be presenting its latest policy brief -- Barriers to Post-Secondary Education: Perspectives from Niagara -- researched and written by Kate Cassidy, the director of Community Learning and Youth University at Brock.
Kate uses interviews and focus groups to investigate what keeps young people in Niagara from pursuing a post-secondary education. In Niagara, 41 per cent of the population between the ages of 25 and 64 does not have a post-secondary education, higher than the provincial and national averages. This topic has huge implications for our community's economic prosperity and poverty reduction.
Our presentation will include a panel discussion with Q&A.
