Open Access Publishing Fund
James A. Gibson Library
Open Access Publishing Fund
The Library Open Access Publishing Fund, an educational opportunity to increase Brock engagement in open access publishing, is now open for 2015-16. Researchers may apply for grants from the $10,000 fund to cover article processing charges (APCs) levied by some open access journals.
In addition to the fund, the Library is pleased to support open access memberships which allow Brock researchers to publish in open access journals for a reduced fee – or for free. The Library memberships support researchers publishing in:
Open Library of the Humanities – no APCs for authors; publishing funded by library subsidies
Hindawi Publishing Corporation – no charges for any articles submitted by Brock authors
Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute – 10% discount on APCs
SAGE Choice Open Access model-- 40% discount on APCs
NRC Research Press -- reduced fees of $1,500 per article
