Information for Faculty

Faculty members have an important role when it comes to promoting Academic Integrity at Brock University

As faculty, you set the example and model the behaviours inherent to Academic Integrity. From the first class and throughout the academic year, your actions not only influence students, but send a message to students, teaching assistants and the Brock community about our commitment the standards and expections of the University.

If you suspect a student of academic misconduct, please refer to the frequently asked questions page or the Academic Integrity Policy for more information.

The following are suggestions to support Faculties in their efforts towards academic excellence and student academic success.

Establish working Academic Integrity Committees.

Membership can include:

  • Associate Dean (as Chair)
  • Academic Integrity Officer
  • Department Chairs
  • Faculty
  • Undergraduate and Graduate Student Representative.

Faculties should meet (once each term) to share information regarding Academic Integrity issues.
