About 1,200 people will be lacing up their runners and trekking across campus Sunday.
Brock University is hosting Niagara’s edition of the CIBC Run for the Cure on Oct. 6, welcoming philanthropic runners and walkers from throughout the region for the one-kilometre and five-kilometre events.
The run happens 9:30 to 11:15 a.m. with opening and closing ceremonies taking place in Weather Station Field across from the Alumni-Student Centre.

Access to the campus will be affected that day and participants are encouraged to use the St. David’s Road entrance during run times.
Free parking will be available in Zone 1 and Zone 2 for the duration of the event. Visitors will still have access to Lots B and D throughout the run and DeCew, Vallee and Earp residences can be accessed by using the Glenridge Avenue entrance (traffic circle).
University Road East from Meter Road to Village Road will be closed from about 9:45 to 10:30 am for the start of the run. Access to and from Lot P will not be available during this time.
Village Road will be closed to traffic from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Any Village Residence drop-offs or pickups during this time can be rerouted to the front of Lowenberger Residence.
