How to Avoid Late Fees
Published on September 27 2013
Although the Brock University Library has millions of online resources, print materials remain in demand. Overdue fees are one way to provide an incentive for items to be returned on time for use by others.
We make it easy to avoid these by helping users manage their checked out items:
- My Library Account – Check the status of your checkouts, see pending recalls or the status of books to be picked up, and renew items online. You can also view your reading history and outstanding fees.
- Library notices- Courtesy notices are emailed 3 days before regular loan items are due allowing you to renew or return items on time. Hourly loan materials such as reserves, laptops and other equipment are excluded.
- Request a ‘date due’ receipt from our do-it-yourself check out machine or staff person.
