Did you know that robots can be used to solve issues that humans can’t? In this camp you’ll start with an introduction to building and programming robots using LEGO NXT Robotics. Then you’ll take advanced control of your NXT project as you combine virtual simulation with real-life challenges.

Sr. Outdoor Leaders
Do you want to know the inside scoop about our low and high ropes courses? What about learning fire starting techniques or trying your hand at orienteering? As a YU Outdoor Leader, you’ll learn these skills and also plan and lead a team-building event.

Math Club (gr. 3-8) - $100
At Youth University you can enhance your math skills in a fun, collaborative, and hands on setting. Led by university students, math club allows each student to join in at their own level and progress at their own pace to develop skills and improve confidence. An initial assessment will help us determine the entry level.

Calling all shutterbugs! Learn how to snap pictures like a pro and take control of your own camera. You can bring your own from home or borrow one of ours.

Are you creative? Explore new ways to express your artistic side through writing, drawing, photography and more. Each week will focus on a new talent and will encourage you use a variety of mediums to express your inner artist. No experience necessary, just bring your creativity and sense of adventure!

About the program
After-school kids clubs are designed to focus on specific areas of learning. Youth leave the program with a set of new skills and knowledge, and with a desire to learn even more.
How do "clubs" work?
- Clubs are four to six week sessions, once per week
- Each session highlights a specific skill or aspect of the topic
- Brock University student mentors facilitate clubs
