Training Opportunities

At Youth University, we are committed to lead, coach, and inspire you to build on your talents, discover your potential and in doing so – make a difference in your community.   Our training opportunities support constant shared learning between peers and with our professional staff.
“I think one of the most important things Youth University did for all instructors this spring was stress from the beginning, during training week, that Youth University was not only a spring job but a learning environment in which we could learn from everyone around us and create and hopefully reach goals. This really set the stage for the environment and helped me personally decide what I wanted to accomplish throughout the spring.”
Kami Berdoel – Spring Camp Instructor 2009

“I had the excellent opportunity of meeting and getting to know many unique students from the St Catharine’s and surrounding area. I was able to see these students in a new light; they interacted with me on a different level than in the classroom. As well as meeting these students, I was able to work with a team of amazing staff members. They showed me new and exciting ways of dealing with difficult situations, and also taught me that sometimes you just have to laugh.” – Meaghan Sheffield – Spring Leadership Instructor 2009
