This Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree program is an option for those interested in creating their own customized program of study in the Sciences. It is offered as Honours or Pass degree programs and carries no major, minor or area of concentration. The Bachelor of Science program can be designed as both a transition to University and a pathway from high school to a variety of University programs. This BSc degree provides an opportunity to develop a personalized study-plan to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue further undergraduate or postgraduate studies or careers. The program is ideal for those who plan to complete courses to meet the admission requirements to programs for which they are not initially qualified at the time of admission to the University. Students in this program must identify two subject areas of interest, with the majority of credits earned offered by Departments/Centres within the Faculty of Mathematics and Science. Possible choices are Biological Sciences and Community Health, Biological Sciences and Chemistry, Computer Science and Business, Earth Sciences and Classics, Mathematics and Business, Mathematics and Physics. Students should develop a program plan in consultation with an Academic Adviser in the Office of the Registrar. Such a plan requires approval by the Dean of Mathematics and Science. |
