The Society for Research in Child Development is an excellent source of information, although it is geared primarily towards academics.
The Human Behavior and Evolution Society is the best place to find out about evolutionary psychology, and its implications for the study of human behavior.
Child and Family Canada is a good Canadian resource for parents regarding themselves, their children, and the family in general. It contains links to many online papers, as well as many more local organizations.
Partnered with Child and Family Canada is the Canadian Child Care Federation. As its name suggests, it is a resource for parents and caregivers. This resource is aimed more at the actual methods of provision of care.
For American information, the Department of Health and Human Services is a good place to start regarding parenting and child information.
