Alternative Reading Break Application - Peer Leader

Peer Team Leader Information and Conditions

Responsibilities of Peer Team Leaders:
Peer Team Leaders are students who (ideally) have been on a similar service trip or experience through Brock University or a reputable community partner before. These leaders will have a few additional responsibilities including:
• Participate in Team Leader meetings (dates and times to be determined once group is selected).
• Assist in facilitating pre-departure meetings (icebreakers/teambuilders, assisting with presenting lessons as needed, etc.)
• Assistance in facilitating reflection activities during the trip.
• Assistance in facilitating the post-trip meeting (including discussion, slide show, etc.)
• Responsible for helping the Professional Staff Leader with keeping the group on time and informed of the daily schedule while on the trip.

Peer Team Leaders will receive a small $75 deduction in trip fees for assisting in the above manner. Peer Team Leaders who are not selected for the Peer Team Leader role will automatically be considered as student participants.
