A Note On Course Locations

We recognize that many potential students for M.ADS (and the Graduate Diploma) reside and work in the GTA and Hamilton areas. Therefore, we try to schedule courses in the GTA and at the Brock Hamilton campus. It is likely that we will continue to provide courses in one or both of these cities as long as we have sufficient numbers to justify offering classes there. However, students applying to the main program cannot choose their course locations and we reserve the right to offer courses in other locations, in particular at the Brock St. Catharines main campus. While we do not offer a "Toronto" or "Hamilton" program, per se, we try to place students in classes that are in convenient locations.  This is not always possible, so please be prepared to travel.  A trip to the St. Catharines Campus will be required for all students at least once during the course of their degree while completing their final  research projects.

Please note: we may not be able to accommodate all students all the time and not all your courses may be close to where you live. For example, if you live in Toronto, you still may have to take (weekend) classes in Hamilton. We currently are offering a Part-Time M.ADS (ABA) program in Ottawa and will continue to so long as we have sufficient numbers to justify offering the program. We would consider offering satellite programs in other Ontario metropolitan areas (i.e., London, Thunder Bay), if the numbers warrant. Note that programs offered in other cities are exclusively Brock University programs and not that of other universities in those cities.

M.A. and Full Time M.ADS Students are expected to be able to attend the St. Catharines Campus regularly as well as taking courses in Hamilton.  Students with the General Specialisation may also expect to take classes in both Hamilton and St. Catharines.
