Thomas S. C. Farrell, PhD, Professor, Department Chair
Research Interests: Reflective teaching, teacher beliefs and classroom practices, methodology, classroom discourse analysis, reading theory and practice.

David Hayes, PhD, Associate Professor
Research Interests: Sociopolitics of TESL, non-native speaking English teachers in state educational systems, language teacher education.

Cheng Luo, PhD, Associate Professor
Research Interests: Functional-typological linguistics, L2 acquisition contrastive rhetoric and error correction.

Hedy McGarrell, PhD, Professor, Graduate Program Director 
Research Interests: L2 writing, corpus linguistics, SLA and L2 teaching methodology.

John Sivell, PhD, Professor
Research Interests: Culturally appropriate pedagogy, learner transitions, professional growth of English teachers, intercultural contact, movement and communication.

Ron Thomson, PhD, Associate Professor
Research Interests: L2 accent, L2 oral fluency, computer-mediated L2 pronunciation instruction; ethics and professionalism in TESL.
