Yukon College Program

This program is an exciting exchange program for students who are in Year Two.  Those majoring in Psychology or Women's and Gender Studies are eligible to apply to complete Year Two of their studies at Yukon College in Whitehorse. 

About the program
This program was designed to allow Brock Psychology students the opportunity to complete Year Two of their studies at Yukon College in Whitehorse. Students simply attend school there during their second-year, complete the required courses, then have the credits applied to their Brock degrees upon return for Year Three. Students in Whitehorse are also able to come to Brock University after completion of Year Two to complete a four-year degree.

The Yukon Program is unique in that it responds to Brock students who wish for the excitement of travel, but who wish to study in Canada.  This opportunity allows them to travel to a unique setting and learn in a different environment with a number of chances to learn with members of Aboriginal communities and other unique cultures. 

Applying to the Yukon Program

Brock students who are interested in attending Yukon College for Year Two are required to apply during Year One. Be sure to keep in mind that there will be special considerations when moving to the Yukon to begin Year Two.  This means that applications should be completed during the winter term in Year One so that travel and planning arrangements can be done in a timely fashion.

When initially applying to Brock University, Yukon College students who will be completing a degree at Brock should indicate Psychology  or Women's and Gender Studies as their chosen major. To be admitted to Brock University in these discipline, students must have completed, or be working on the list of Yukon College courses that are required for this program. Application to Brock University should be made at the end of Year One using the Ontario University Application site (www.ouac.ca).
