2021 Teacher Education Tuition and Fees

Tuition fees are approved by the Brock University Board of Trustees, in accordance with the tuition policy set by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. The fee information is provided for illustrative purposes for typical situations. The actual fees assessed may vary from these schedules.

Teacher Education is a two-year Arts and Science program and only a single rate is provided for both domestic and visa students. Neither continuing years of study nor program differentials factor into the fee charged.

Undergraduate Teacher Education (Arts or Sciences)

Per Credit ratePer credit ancillary fees (Subject to change FW)
Domestic$1217.88$102.78 SP/SU - $114.16 FW

*The Province of Ontario charges an International Recovery Fee to be applied to all international students at public colleges and universities. This fee will be applied in either fall or winter term based on the term of first registration for each academic year.

  • The normal year 1 credit load for the PJIS Teacher Education Program  is  6.0 credits (consecutive program) and 5.5 credits (concurrent program).  Therefore the tuition fees for this credit load would be calculated as follows; 6.0 x $1,217.88 = $7,307.28 (plus ancillary fees) for Domestic students and 6.0 x $5,855.97 = $35,135.82 plus ancillary fees) for International students or 5.5 x $1,217.88 = $6,698.34 (plus ancillary fees) for Domestic students and 5.5 x $5,855.98 = $32,207.84 (plus ancillary fees) for International students.  To note, some streams of the Teacher Education Program such as J/I (French Teachable) require you to take a larger per credit load, to calculate the tuition charge simply multiply the total credit weight of your registered courses by the applicable per credit amount listed above.  The normal credit count for year 2 is 4.0 except for IS concurrent which is 3.5 credits.
  • The normal credit load for the Technological program is 10 credits which may cross more than one academic year.  The current 2021-2022 per credit fees, as noted above for Domestic and International students will apply for credits taken during the 2021-2022 academic year (Spring 2021-Winter 2022.
