Building styles and amenities

Our buildings feature four styles of housing: traditional, semi-suite, townhouse and suite-style.

Residence buildings include: DeCew, Vallee, Earp, Residence 8, Lowenberger, and Village.  Residence is available to Brock students in any year of study. Learn more about living in our Residence community. 

Brock Suites buildings include: Gateway Suites and Quarry View Townhouses. Brock Suites is only available for upper year and grad students. Learn more about living in Brock Suites.

Residence Buildings

Traditional-style — DeCew

Basic housekeeping and cleaning services are provided by the University for common spaces (hallways, lounges and bathrooms). Students are responsible for cleaning their own bedrooms and may borrow a vacuum from the Service Desk. Students must provide their own bed linen (twin/single size), pillows, comforters and towels. A meal plan is mandatory. For more information about meal plans, please visit Dining Services.

View a detailed list of what to bring with you to our traditional and semi-suite style residences. All students living in traditional and semi-suite residence have wireless Internet throughout the building as well as cable TV, and phone with local calling access in the lounge for the community.

Semi-Suite style — Vallee, Earp, Residence 8 and Lowenberger

Townhouse-style — Village

Our largest Residence community on campus, Village is home to over 400 students. Housekeeping in Village Residence is the responsibility of the student. Each unit is provided with a central vacuum, central air and heating. Students must provide their own bed linen (twin/single size), pillows, comforters and towels. Single and double rooms are available with 1.5 washrooms, housing five students per townhouse unit.  Units include a shared kitchenette/kitchen, full-size refrigerator, microwave and boost a larger living/work space on the lower floor. View a detailed list of what to bring with you to Village Residence. Wireless Internet is available throughout Village. All students living in Village have a phone line and telephone handset in their living room with local calling as well as an active cable TV connection. TVs are not provided.

Brock Suites Buildings

Suite-style — Gateway

Additional information

Laundry rooms with Brock Card readers on washers and dryers are available in all of our residences. There are common spaces in residence allowing for casual student interaction and socializing. The University provides basic housekeeping and cleaning services in public washrooms and common areas.

Each student living in residence is provided with:

  • Bed with a mattress (twin/single size)
  • Zippered mattress protector
  • Chest of drawers
  • Desk
  • Chair
  • Waste basket
  • Recycling bin
  • Book shelves
  • Closet space or wardrobe
  • Window treatments
