2012

September
Monday, August 28
 First day of Fall/Winter Session, Teacher Education Program only.
Monday,
September 3
 Labour Day. University closed. Library closed. Residence move in date.
Thursday,
September 6
 First day of Fall/Winter Session, duration 1 and duration 2, day and evening sections (undergraduate program).
Friday,
September 21		 Last day for duration 1 and duration 2 late registration and course changes without permission of the instructor. Brock Registration System closes for duration 1 and duration 2 adds; last day to drop courses without financial penalty. After this date, manual course change requests are required.
October
**December examination schedule (D1, D2) posted around the end of the month**

 Thanksgiving. University closed; library closed. (See November 29)

 Fall Convocation
November
Friday,
November 2
 Last date for withdrawal without academic penalty and last day to change from credit to audit status for duration 2 courses without academic penalty.

 Fall Preview Day.

 Last day of lectures, Fall Term, duration 2 courses. Make up day for Thanksgiving Monday, October 10.
December
Friday, November 30 and Monday, December 3
 Extended Fall term dates for Science and Applied Health Sciences course labs; at the discretion of the instructor.
Tuesday,
December 4
 Snow day/reading day. A snow day will be used to cover classes missed because of adverse weather (if needed). Otherwise, it will be a reading day. The day of the week missed will determine the replacement schedule for classes.
Wednesday, December 5 to Tuesday, December 18
 Progress examinations for duration 1 courses and final examinations for duration 2 courses.
Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at noon until Sunday January 6, 2012 Residences are closed.
Friday, December 21, 2012 at 430 pm until Wednesday, January 2, 2013 Christmas and New Year holiday. University closed; library closed. Depending on operational needs, there may be limited service available during this time. Please check our website at: brocku.ca for a list of openings and hours.

2013

January
Wednesday, January 2
 University reopens. Winter term resumes, Teacher Education Program.
Monday, January 7
 First day of Winter Term, undergraduate programs.
Friday, January 18
 Last day for duration 3 late registration and course changes without permission of the instructor. Brock Registration System closes for duration 3 adds; last day to drop courses without financial penalty. After this date, manual course change requests are required. Last date for withdrawal without academic penalty and last day to change from credit to audit status for duration 1 courses.
February
**April examination schedule (D1, D3) posted around the middle of the month**
Friday, February 1 Last day for receipt of applications to graduate at Spring Convocation.
Monday, February 18
 Family Day; University Closed.
Monday - Friday, February 18-22 Reading Week. No classes will be held in undergraduate programs.
Tuesday, February 19
 President's Holiday; Administrative offices closed, Registrar's Office and Library open.
March
Friday, March 8
 Last date for withdrawal without academic penalty and last day to change from credit to audit status for duration 3 courses.
Sunday, March 3
 Spring Open House.
Monday, March 11 to Friday, March 15 Spring break. No classes will be held in the Teacher Education Program.
Friday, March 29
 Good Friday, University Closed.
April
Monday, April 8
 Last Day of Fall/Winter Session duration 1 and duration 3 classes.  Make up day for Good Friday, April 6. The schedule will be that of a Friday.
Tuesday, April 9 and Wednesday, April 10
 Reading Day.  A snow day may be used to cover classes missed because of adverse weather (if needed).  The day of the week missed will determine the replacement schedule of classes.
Thursday, April 11 - Wednesday, April 24 Final examinations for duration 1 and duration 3 courses.
