Lot P is located to the west of the front entrance of the Walker Complex, and is a coin/credit card lot. The cost of parking in Lot P is $2.50 per hour.

2. Is there any other option for frequent parking? (I'm bringing my children to swimming lessons for 10 weeks.)
For those from the community who are registered through Recreation Services for courses, we have a special 10-punch pass available for $21. This allows you to park in Lot D, and not have to worry about paying each time. The punch passes are available at the Welcome Desk in the Walker Complex. These passes are not available to Brock students, staff or faculty.
Another option for those who have purchased a community membership to the Walker Complex facilities is to purchase a hang tag for use in Lot B. This permit may be used any day of the week throughout the year. The permit may be returned at any time of the year for a pro-rated refund of the unused portion. These permits are not available to Brock students, staff or faculty.
Using the facilities of the Walker Complex
1. Can anyone come to use the gyms?
Admission to the Walker Complex facilities and the Zone fitness centre requires the purchase of a membership or a day pass. 10-time passes for either the pool or the full facility are also available. Memberships are available to the following groups:
a) Undergraduate students:
All current Brock University undergraduate students may use the gymnasia, the courts, the pool and the track, by showing your current student ID card at the Equipment Room. If you would like to use the Zone Fitness Centre, you need to purchase a separate membership at the Welcome Desk in the Walker Complex.
b) Current Brock University graduate students
As of Sept. 1, 2010, all current Brock University graduate students may use all the facilities of the Walker Complex including the Zone, by showing your current student ID card at the Equipment Room. Graduate students held a referendum in the spring of 2010 and voted to pay extra ancillary fees to include the Zone in their membership.
c) Staff, Faculty, Community (ages 18+)
A membership is required to use the Walker Complex and may be purchased at the Welcome Desk. Several membership options are available, and may be viewed at brocku.ca/recreation-services/memberships

2. What do I do if I forget my membership card and I want to work out?
Please go to the Welcome Desk, they will verify that you have a current membership. Then go to the Equipment Room to get the appropriate identifying wristband. Note: we will look up your membership twice per membership term; after that, you must purchase a day pass. It is your responsibility to have your card with you.
3. Can I use a locker?
Inside the changerooms and outside the Zone are pay-per-use coin lockers (50 cents). There are also day-use lockers (no locks on them) inside the changerooms that you may use while you work out. Bring your own lock or rent one at the Equipment Room for the day ($1). We have limited lockers available for rent by the term; ask at the Welcome Desk for sale dates.
Zone Fitness Centre
1. How long can I use a piece of cardio equipment?
2. Can I sign up in advance for any equipment?
Yes, when you enter the Zone, there is a binder on the desk, where you can sign up 3 days in advance for cardio machines. Each machine is numbered, so check the machine to ensure you are on the correct one.
3. Are spinning classes and fitness classes included in my Zone membership? How do I access those?
Yes! You may sign up in advance for spinning classes in the binder on the Zone desk to reserve your bike. Fitness classes are generally held in the fitness studio, check the schedule at brocku.ca/recreation-services/activities-and-courses. The fitness schedule will indicate which classes require advance sign-up. For those, sign up in the appropriate binder on the Welcome Desk.
4. Why is my cardio machine not working?
If your machine has no electrical plug, energy is generated by your movement, so keep moving and then press the machine's start button. If the machine does have a plug, ask a trainer for assistance.
5. What if there is a long wait to use a bench or machine?
Ask the person using the station if you may “set in” or “work in” with them. Or you can do another exercise while waiting. Alternatively, the trainers can suggest a different, comparable exercise to try.
Aquatics - please note: the pool is closed from April 1, 2013 through Aug. 2013 for planned maintenance (roof, mechanical and air handling systems).
1. When is the pool available to go swimming?
