Where do I get my Brock Card to use Flex Dollars?
Your Flex Dollars are attached to Your Brock ID Card. If lost or stolen, your student card can be replaced by contacting Brock Card at 905-688-5550 ext. 4770.
Can I bring a guest and use my Flex Dollars?
Yes, you can.
Can I pay cash for meals or use Flex Dollars?
Yes, you can do both. Flex Dollars are more convenient but all food services on campus accept cash.
How will the cashier know if I'm using my Meal Plan dollars or Flex Dollars?
For your convenience and speed of service, the cash terminals are programmed to use your Meal Plan first at DeCew/Lowenberger Dining Halls, The Market, the C-Block Café and the Walker Food Court. At Tim Horton's, it will automatically deduct from Flex Dollars first and then default to Meal Plan dollars once no remaining balance of Flex Dollars. Only Flex Dollars can be used at any other food outlet on campus and at off campus locations that accept the card.
How will I know how much money I have left on my card?
The cash terminals at the Brock Dining Services locations will display the combined Meal Plan and Flex Dollars funds you have left. You can also go online to check your Flex Dollars balance by visiting https://card.brocku.ca  You can also ask for a balance check by calling the Brock Card Office during business hours and, in most cases, vendor receipts received after a purchase will also show your combined balance.
What if I lose my card?
If your card is lost or stolen you should deactivate your card to protect your Flex Dollar and Meal Plan funds by visiting https://card.brocku.ca  and using the 'Deactive Card' feature, or you may contact the Brock Card Office for more information and assistance during business hours. If your card is damaged, bring it with you to the Brock Card Office and a replacement card can be printed for you, usually at no charge. If you find your lost card contact the Brock Card Office for assistance in reactivating your card.
Do Flex Dollars carry over to next year or do I get a refund?
Flex Dollars will automatically carry over to the next academic year unless a refund is requested. All refunds are subject to a $25 processing fee.
Why not just pay with cash?
Flex Dollars is like "meal insurance" — you always know it's there when you need it! You don't have to make a trip to the ATM or carry cash around. It's much quicker and easier; plus you don't have to pay transaction or monthly fees.
