Snorkelling
The Brock pool will be closed April 1st - August, 2013 for maintenance. First Aid/CPR - Courses will be offered over the Spring & Summer. Fall Swim Registration: Saturday, August 17th, 9am-12nn.
Learn to Snorkel:
Candidates learn introductory snorkelling skills. Participants must supply their own mask and snorkel.
Prerequisite: Swimmer 4
Content:
- Mask clearing
- Snorkel clearing: blast & displacement
- Kicks: front & back flutter kick, dolphin kick (with fins, provided)
- Entries: front roll, back roll, step-in
- Surface dives: head-first & foot-first
- Ear clearing
- Buddy system
- Gear maintenance
- Proper ascent
- Hand signals
