Brock University Student Alumni Association (BUSAA)

Students Today - Alumni Forever

The Brock University Student Alumni Association (BUSAA) are a student run group funded by the Office of Alumni Relations. Our members are dedicated volunteers who link students, alumni, the University, and the community with the desire to improve the quality of life and learning for the entire Brock community.

The BUSAA were the first student group of its kind at Brock to play a unique and fundamental role by giving back to the community in which they live and learn. As a group, BUSAA members strive to create and maintain a strong relationship between Brock University, our students, and alumni by 1) supporting student and alumni interaction while 2) encouraging a successful student transition. 

Our Goals:

• To work with the Alumni Association to link current students and graduates
• To increase public support and awareness of Brock University within the community; 
• To promote passion and pride within the students of Brock
• To work with the Office of University Advancement to strengthen relationships between the graduates and the University

As a BUSAA member, you gain access to important alumni and networking events the provide personal and professional development and connections. 

Current Initiatives

GreenTec Recycling

Students, staff and alumni drop off used cartridges and cell phones at Residence Service desks. This project not only protects our environment by reusing and recycling, it also helps generates funds for BUSAA initiatives.  Cartridges are disposed of responsibly and are kept out of landfills.  All funds generated are allocated to the Brock Student Ambassador Bursary.

Volunteering

Ambassadors volunteer at most major Brock events and many Niagara events such as:

• Alumni Weekend 
• Think Recycle & Raw Materials Company(Battery Recycling)
• Career and Education Expos
• Student health Fair
• Fall Preview Day 

(All volunteer hours are applied to Experience Plus transcripts.)
