Although fall courses don’t begin until September, new international graduate students have already begun laying the foundation for a successful academic year.
Over 160 international students arrived on campus on August 1 for orientation and the official start of two graduate programs: the MBA (International Student Pathway) and the International Master of Accountancy.
The graduate students are on campus during the month of August to take part in Goodman’s Business English program, a one month program that consists of seminars and workshops. Recognizing that communication and language skills are linked to academic and career success, the Business English program is a mandatory part of the MBA (ISP) and IMAcc curriculum.
With an emphasis on helping international students transition to the Canadian business culture, the Business English Program focuses on building effective communication skills in English, and includes development of business specific English skills and early access to career resources and services.
Current students with questions about the program can contact the Graduate Programs Office through the Graduate Portal.
