With Brock’s proposed CPA pathway, you can qualify to write the Common Final Examination (CFE) by completing your BAcc and MAcc degrees at the Goodman School of Business.
If you already have an honours undergraduate degree, you can also apply to the CPA/MBA.
Option 1: Complete your BAcc and MAcc degrees at Goodman
Brock’s proposed CPA Pathway will allow you to complete all the required courses for the CPA designation. The BAcc covers the “CPA Core 1 and 2” modules. You will then apply to continue on to Brock’s MAcc degree which covers all four CPA elective modules plus Capstone 1 and 2. Upon graduation, you will qualify to write the Common Final Examination (CFE).
Option 2: Complete the CPA-PEP program
If you choose to complete your BAcc degree at Brock, you will be fully prepared to enter the CPA-PEP program offered by CPA Canada. For more information, visit their website.
Proposed pathway for new students (entering the BAcc program September 2014 or later):
Option 3: Complete the CPA/MBA
The new accredited MBA stream allows non-accounting university graduates to pursue an MBA and an accounting designation at the same time. The two-year graduate program also includes an optional co-op work term.
The CPA/MBA program will offer a CPA-Accredited stream that provides graduates with advanced standing in the CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP).
