On Sunday, 2,300 of 2,400 students moved into residence during the annual move-in day. The event, which also kicked off O-Week festivities, went smoothly thanks to the many people who played a role in getting thousands of students settled in their new digs, said Jamie Fleming, director of residences.
“Again this year, we had tremendous support from a very large number of student volunteers from clubs and groups, IceBreakers and varsity teams, who were mostly co-ordinated through BUSU,” Fleming said. “Also, we had assistance from the students on SMARTstart, Student Life and Community Experience, Recreation and Leisure Services, peer mentors, the residence action council and BUSU executives, which is always very much appreciated.”
