Power has been restored to the International Centre at Brock and the building has been re-opened as of 12 noon today (Monday, July 22).
The building was closed over the weekend for safety reasons when Friday’s thunderstorms compromising the building’s electrical system.
All ESL classes that were cancelled today will resume tomorrow morning (Tuesday, July 23).
Staff and students in the International Centre are also advised to throw away any perishable food items that were left in fridges over the weekend as the power was off for an extended period of time.

The University has cancelled ESL classes scheduled for Monday July 22 at the International Centre, while inspectors establish how Friday's severe thunderstorms may have compromised the buildings' electrical system.
Information about make-up classes will be communicated to students as soon as the details are determined.

Last night’s thunderstorms have compromised the electrical system of the International Centre at Brock. For safety reasons, the building is now closed until Monday, July 22 when the affected equipment can be inspected.
Horizon Utilities has shut down the power to the building as a precaution. Emergency power only is being provided to the building. If you require urgent access to the building, contact Campus Security at x3200.
